'Yank' Hankins, f Troop, 41 Cdo Salerno Coy (by the time we worked oput he was canadian it was too late to change the nickname!

Saw him at the re union at Lympstone last July

Saw Brian (Jan) Palmer at the beginning of December, If it is the same Mac Mclennan (which I beleive it is) then I am afraid to say that he has crossed the Bar as Jan was at his funeral the week before.

My Maltese wife was looking over my shoulder when reading this topic and was most offended.

Sp*c is of course spelt with a 'c' at the end and not a 'k'. She asks that you get it right in future.

Just finished a really good biography on Nelson. Warts an all by Terry Coleman. This author states he was transported back in a leaguer of Brandy. this had to be topped up with spirit of wine? several times on the five week journey home. Notwithstanding his head that was not entirely submerged it ...

It finally made the Worlds at One on Radio 4 today and thanks to your sit reps I had the distinct feeling that I knew more of the subject than the reporter who was/is on exceptionally good expenses 'in country' covering this one.
