yes, i know. i had one stress fracture once before i joined the army, and had to wait a year after it healed. I'm in para training now and got myself another one, but they are looking after me.

They will not accept you until it has been a year from when your doctor has told you that it's fully healed. I had that problem once before.

Wasn't thinking of wearing a shirt and tie, just smart casual.

Anyway i have just about got all my kit ready, I just have to get myself some washing powder and i'm rockin'. Probably be a bit nervous on Sunday but thats normal i guess, i'll just try not to get injured and give it my 100%.

If you left school, you would find yourself sitting around in 6 months time not being in the paras. The application process takes a while, why dont you get down to the AFCO now while staying at school, get your application rolling, do the tests and all that stuff. Not being funny mate but you applied on the 13th of this month, so id still be a little bit patient, Army or Marines the process takes a while. Infact a bloody long time but don't worry, it'll get there in the end.

Some people want to join the Royal Marines, Some people want to join the Paras. For a long time i have wanted to join the paras no other unit. Its what i want to do and hopefully will achieve. Its the Airbourne Brotherhood that you dont seem to get in any other unit that attracts me to the paras ...

Just wondering if any of you could share your wisdom...

I take it that during basic you have to shave every day, and that its got to be a very close shave so when you touch it you wont feel the slightest spike? Well, the only way i can achieve this is by shaving against the grain. i can get it as ...

Not really, they don't ride it with much skill or speed, if they did they wouldn't need hounds. Anyhow thats still besides the point. It's not a sport.
