Cheers mate, I gave them a ring and they said I can go to a presentation evening at the plymouth one, thanks for the intake details im going to train hard for it. Hopefully with I will be able to get on that next intake.

Hello, I was going to join the regular marines up untill yesterday, where I had to change my mind due to unforseen circumstances.

Im now interested in RMR, my nearest detachment is plymouth, but a lad told me that they only have two intakes per year, and if I applied in between the two I would have ...

I would be ver greatful to any information people could give me on this please. It's not for myself but a friend of mine.

How long is the overall training (ie. basic, 2yrs, 1yr)?

Whats the required fitness before joining?

No wedge im sticking to the three times per week, it's whats working for me, and im sticking to that. I beleive what you and rompton say is right, about the need to pass PRMC and stay injury free, i also beleive spooky has valid points if you want to become a marothon runner, but i don't. Running ...

Hate to drop in but the title of this forum is 'MILITARY FITNESS AND TRAINING', the problem with spooky is hes always right and people don't like it.

I thought i would start a fitness thread, I haven't much seen them latley on here, anyway moving along....

In regards to what thewedge said about the need of running only 3 times per week, i would say, i completley agree.

I have been doing that recently, two at three miles and one at four miles ...
