How long is the overall training (ie. basic, 2yrs, 1yr)?

Whats the required fitness before joining?

Where is selection conducted?

And finally, how much time does one have to commit?

There is some info here but he needs to talk to them directly. DJ was a friend of mine from this site, did CTC at 36 Last seen talking to 21, he never knew when he was too old for this lark

mfat_man being in the TA did you ever get called upon to go on ops? and is the phase one really only one night per week, and one weekend per month? for 3 months.

No mate, I was doing service in in late 80's and there was not so many opportunties but of course with Iraq, Afgahinstan and general reduction in troop numbers TAs and RMRs are being called out more these days.
