Well been milling over joining the TA for the last few weeks and will probably join my local unit.

Just wondering how the TA and Army get on? Is there a define split or does everyone just get on with things and and get stuck in?

Also, does anyone know how they break up basic training in the TA and ...

Sounds like the PRMC has changed a bit since I done it?

Used to be 1st day, Gym Test 1 AM, Assault course PM
Day 2, 3 mile run AM followed by Gym Test 2 PM

Is the selection weekend the same as PRMC? I took part in PRMC about 4 years ago but couldn't do Gym Test 2 cuz I'd injured myself the previous day.

Hey, where abouts is the RMR office in Glasgow? I was thinking going down the TA route after a long spell off training now that I have an employer that supports my application but don’t think I could get back to RMR levels of fitness easily.

Well about 4 years ago I was Royal Marines bound but got a nasty knee injury when I was in training and decided to come out with the attitude I would try again but didn't. :(

I'm fully recovered but haven't REALLY trained in over a year. I'm not totally unfit by no means but not anywhere near ...

After attending my interview today both with a Staff Sgt and Sgt Major I'm not too sure I'm making the right career choice.
I thought I had the RA sorted and in my head as THATS what I'm going to do but......

Both said with my qualifications and BARB test score's I should be looking to do ...

I'm 5'10" and a bit and I know that I might be a little cramped riding the thing. Still not got to see one to get a feel for it but I'll hopefully get a look at one tomorrow.

I have also looked into the CBR600 or even the ZX6R (my mate owns one) but the looks of the little NC30 have won me over ...

Why go to the hassle of finding a new job for oh, a few months top's before my training starts? Would be unfair on however employed me. I said there are plenty of jobs out there in reference to Rabby as he said 'count yourself lucky, some folk don't have jobs'....
