Just a heads up!
RMR Scotland will be having a Selection weekend in the middle of April.
So, if you like the usual recruit thing:-
Mud
Sweat
Tears
Gasping
Breathless
Vomiting
Then you’re in!
Also, tell all your pals and family that you’re joining... that way you find it hard to give up!
They may even start a Holding troop if prior interest is high.

Is the selection weekend the same as PRMC? I took part in PRMC about 4 years ago but couldn't do Gym Test 2 cuz I'd injured myself the previous day.
I take it your a member yourself?
Forgive my ignorance but what is a holding troop? Is RMR similar to the TA in terms of training nights and training weekends?
Thanks in advance for the additional info.

Selection will consist of physical tests including the V02 Max Bleep Test (Royal Marines Fitness Test), the Basic Fitness Test (2x 1.5 mile runs), the basic swim test (2 lengths and tread water for 3 mins), a gruelling cross country/ circuit run (to see how much you want it) and an interview with an officer.
There will also be briefs to give an overview of the training. All successful candidates will be invited to then undertake recruit training for their chance to earn the Green Beret.
