Failed POC

Hi guys,
I screwed up my POC on 17-19th May. Got cramp on Endurance course just before hare and hounds, heartbreaking really. I wasn't on top form on the assault course either but I didn't give up. I think the heat was getting to me (hottest day of the f'ing year and all). I've got a 12 mth comeback ...

What pain is it? If it feels like a sort of popping as a ligament/tendon slides over your hip, i had it and its called your Iliotibial Band (ITB). To stretch your ITB stand up, cross your feet over and then slowly lean down on one side sliding your hand down your leg - you'll know which way to lean ...

Nerves are getting me now...

Hiya,
I've got my POC next Monday (17th) and I'm really nervous already... I know quite a few of you guys have done your POC/PRMC and I'm sure my feelings are not unusual, but I was wondering if you had any tips on how to calm down! At the moment it feels as if I'm going to be shot on Monday! I know ...

i'm hoping i'm fit enough, i do a lot of rowing and i reckon fitness wise i was best a few weeks ago, but this sudden 'problem' has caused a bit of trouble for my training. i'm going to do maths a bristol. i doubt that'll be much use in the marines... counting pints maybe... and press-ups. i am sh ...

it's sort of a dull pain. it comes and goes, it doesn't hurt to touch and i can't feel anything abnormal. it's mainly just a pain in the arse. i'm not worried about what it is, just that it is stopping me from training as hard as i really think i should be doing. i have spoken to a doctor and i'm ...

POC 17th May + Illness before medical

Anyone else going down for there POC on the 17th. I'm kacking my pants already. The thing is, I'm quite young - only 17 - so that doesn't help but also the past 3 weeks i have had some 'lower abdomen' problems and i haven't been able to train quite a s hard as i hoped. I mean, i haven't been doing ...

"CQB - Close Quarter Battle" - Mike Curtis

I know someone has said something about this book but I thought I would just put a new post so it easier for someone to find who is interested.

Quite a good book, I managed to read in 4 days which is fast for me so it did keep me entertained. There are a few bits where you forget who is who because ...

you sound like you have good cv fitness, what is your strength like? eg press-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, etc. don't worry if you've got a year.
