Is there a history for the name? Anyway glad you don't dislike us dirty ole rednecks. However was Wisconsin a state during the war? To us that are from the area and are not ingnorant to the reasons in which it was fought and understand the subsequent Corporate Federal intrusion and sidelining of the Constitution afterwards it is a hot topic.
Should our people wake up and realize that freedom is not measured bylow interrest loans, high credit limits and how many fast food joints you have on your block then perhaps we might find America in a different context. Our addiction to consumerism that the Yankee has addicted us to like a cheap drug cannot last forever, all addictions kill eventually.

Well, I do belive that if Britain had come into the War of Northern agression it would have made a difference. The blockade would have been run, it takes time to build iron plated ships. The Confederacy would have had an influx of supplies and materials. The French also would have come in on the side of the Confederacy. Both Britain and France had an interest since the American West was still largely up for grabs. The frontier at that time was the prarie. With the extra men and supplies, Lee would have continued to fight a defensive war on his home turf. The disastrous Gettysburg campain would have never happened because Lee wouldn't have gone looking for shoes for his men. Gettysburg gave Lincoln a victory when one was sorely needed to turn public opinion. I think the war would have drug on until some one was elected President of the Union that would have ended it. Or with two world powers on the Confederacy's side, the Union might have called a truce.
Further, with the entrance of Britain into the war, the North would have engaged her militarily. This would have meant an invasion from or into Canada. A two front war would have ruined the Union.
