Well done boys, and Danny didnt get a chance to say it down there but to reach level 13 then do 60 press ups etc and pass the PRMC at 16yo is a superb achievement - something I know for a fact I couldnt and wouldnt have done at your age!

I dont think ive ever enjoyed getting 'fissed as a part' in all my life :drinking: heaven!!!

i have been training specifically for the prmc about 8 months. I was very unfit at this time, basicsally i tested myself for all the tests on the prmc then went around that. i only trained for prmc stuff and martial arts to keep up good cv. i would reccommend to anyone training for this to take up muay thai boxing. i have been doing this about 1.5 years. it is like the bottom field beasting (only no where near as intense). i reckon it's the best thing for training. i pretty much just followed the pre-fitness guide. just make it more intense, so instead of a 30 min bike ride have a run with pressupe, situps etc BEFORE. a lot of people on here say to practice this after your run, you willl only loose a few on your score because u r kanckered from a run, and on your prmc you are not shagged. after your bleep test you will have a small warm down run, plenty of time to get your breath back. so as far as training goes for stuff like bleep test and bottom field/gym test 2, this is hard intense times, so i used to go down to a footy field sprint from line to line 5/6 times then beast myself, pressups, pulls ups, try adding your own excersises like squats and tuck jumps (knees to chest). do these sort of sessions twice a week. also add sprints into your normal run (interval training). this sort of training will make you faster and fitter a lot quicker than just running. better preparation for the hellish beasting you get down bottom field. the bleep test is easy if you add sprinting to your circuits. anyways i think that should do it :)

Ah and Bryars, thats a good starting block if youve only been training for a month - improve your sit up and pull up scores a bit and get out into the open air on your runs, 18mins cross country is far superior to 18mins on a treadmill.

Once you do all that, think enduranceeee...

I need to increase my CV endurance. Im working on a all round schedual just now but im still stuck on it.

Monday - Morning - 5 mile run
Max press ups
Max sit ups
Max Pull ups

Afternoon - 3 Mile run with sprints
Weight training (Not worked out exactly what to do yet)
Max Press ups
Max sit ups
Max pull ups

Ive only worked out Mondays just now but can you tell me if this is fine for 1 day. I will be weight training every 2 days but ill try and fit in runs, press ups, sit ups, pull ups into every day.

No point running twice a day or 7 days a week for that matter - do you more harm than good.

If you do then you need to work on creating one harder training session which means you need the rest.

Try two days on, one rest, two days on, two off (hardest sessions prior to the rest days).

Hills are the key to success...run and sprint up them long and hard enough and you will become a CV god!

i couldnt agree with you more, find yourself a hill and run up and down up and down up and down (get the picture). if you do it correctly you wont be able to train in the afternoon but you wont need to.
for my first month of training all i did was this 0.9mile hill 3 times up (and obviously down) and by the end of that month i had taken two minutes off my 3mile time.
