Good team up there, you'll have application form sent out by post, takes some time to fill out, soon as it arrives ring AFCO and book a BARB test that way you can fill out application ...

I have screw and plate in wrist, not that I am worried as from application form details, once it's a year after surgery with no deformity after healing, full movement and power etc all seems to be well.

My trouble is, I have no medical records apart from the above injury. Never really attended a ...

Thanks for the info. I got an idea of how it comes together. The above are mentioned as specialist jobs in some of the infantry guides I was given. In one of the guides it is stated "after a period of time" for moving into more specialist jobs.

From your experience, do you know of any infantry ...

Job Choices

If anyone is part of infantry or knows about commando or reconnaissance roles I would appreciate some advice, tips, information, anything at all. These are the areas I would like to be involved in should I pass all the criteria. Before I settle on these roles, I'd like to know what I am getting ...

BARB test coming up, tips?

Folks, I have my BARB coming up soon. I've completed the BARB book and got them all correct first try, I've also taken the sample BARB test online, multiple times, I got them all correct at this stage, not that any of it counts towards the real test.

Before I go I am looking to arm myself up with ...

Cheers for the replies, I have my BARB early next month, I should have a better idea on what the recruitment situation is like in my local area. I guess the Army continue with selections as it keeps the dedicated recruitment/section staff active, also keeping a strong base of candidates/ reserves ...

Medical issues are a touchy subject, hard to find the right answer, it might be best to ring them and they'll more than likely give you the number for a army medical person.

British Army, Full up?

I've heard mention of the Army currently running at max and delays in recruitment after the initial selection. Those of you who've recently passed selection do you find this true?

Also, in certain circumstances do the Army speed up the process/allocate space for candidates they might find ...

Hello, sorry to hear your misfortune. I am not one for commenting on other peoples posts but I feel I have to on this one.

You seem to have an awful lot of negativity, I don't believe that's a good way to be when joining up to the army, I've sensed it and I am only in the application process, I can ...

Great info, I'll definitely be paying less attention to the treadmill and will only use it for timing myself, I adjust the incline up and down over the length of the run.

If found a new training method to go with the woods and treadmill, I was at my local football grounds today, they had a tire ...

Treadmills are boring alright, first time I've been using one, the ones in my gym have tv's which I think defeats the whole purpose of getting away from the tv. I find the treadmill useful as I can work on the speed I need to be running at to cover the distance under a certain time. I'd like to be ...
