Passed Final interview

Hi ya,

I had my final interview today for Avionics and passed. :D

Just wanting to know if anyone else is going to Halton on the 13th July.

Also to thank the forums as they were very helpful through my initial process.

Hi ya, i have been trying to get into the avionivs trade since last june. I have just managed to get an interview in the next week, its pretty tough to get in but if its something you want to do. You will do anything to do it.

I am going for trades in avionics, i have my interview next week and have managed to have a tour of my nearest RAF base.

I managed to do this by speaking to my nearest AFCO and explained to them that i wanted a tour and speak to some people who are doing avionics and they gave me a number ...

First you go and apply for getting into the RAF; this is speaking to one of the corporals etc. From this they will give you some information to take away with you and forms to fill out; also they will take your details so they can book you into an amplitude test.

One of those type of competition letters got posted through my door a couple of days ago. The way i look at it, is that as they have to make cuts so in the mean time they can't employ as many people, which is fair enough.

To make some of these cuts in the applications without spending extra ...

Hi

My choices in the RAF were Aircraft technician (avionics) and Aircraft technician (mechanical).

I was looking at electrical technician but was more interested avionics.

If we get into avionics we will be called 'fairys'. - thats what my mate says.

Hi ya,

I didn't attend cadets either, but my ex boyfriend was a cadet leader in the air cadets, so i sometimes went down with him too see what they did. There was some RAF service people helping them out so i to them about what the RAf is like etc.

I have some mates in the RAF, one is a very good mate of mine, he works with radar and has been in there for about 4 years now and absolutly loves it. I speak to him on a weekly bases.
