Hahah, yeah the POC is not a fun 3 days out but i might still be able to get away with not having to do it again since i passed the PRMC recently too.

Yes, you are treated like shite, but thats just part of training. I spoke to a corporal who was a real bastard during working hours but a good ...

Sorry to hear that JCAP you must be gutted (I would be mega pi$$ed off)

You said in your PRMC diary something along the lines of you 'being treated like a piece of sh!t', I was just wondering if that changes in training or not?

Anyway, good luck for uni and the POC you will eventually have to do ...

I'm 176cm (5'9.3") and 95kgs. Brings my BMI to just over 30, 30.7 to be exact. The doc wanted it under 30. Its most likely also because I carry a gut - I've never even had a flat stomach let alone a 6-pack.

Also, make sure the running shoes you have are built for a heavy person. Asics or New ...

Hello,

Can I ask sandam how heavy are you? I just noticed on your sig. it says you failed your medical for being 3kg overweight, I didn't know there was an upper weight limit?

I don't mean to steal this thread but I'm just curious, as I weighed myself the other day and came in at 93kg (I'm 5'10 ...

But what you need to think of is why the hell should I have to inhale other peoples smoke while Im trying to enjoy a pint. Its the simple fact that people smoking near people who arent are making them inhale poison.

If you make the above argument then sober people who go to the pub to have a ...

As soon as you get your PRMC date where there is something to work towards it is alot easier to motivate yourself, thats what I'm finding anyway.

When I was there I'm sure the record for the assault course was 2 minutes 58 seconds (but thats with webbing and a rifle) so at a very, very random guess a top score may be under 3 minutes????

As far as i know you cannot change from POC to PRMC without doing most of the paperwork again, this is because the people dealing with the recruitment are different. All the stages of officer entry is dealt with by the Admiralty Interview Board down in Gosport (I think) and the recruit entry is done ...

To be honest press ups, sit ups and pull ups will be the least of your worries when you get there. When you think about it the upper body exercises of the RMFA last about 5 minutes. Whereas you will be running on your bleep test for about 30 minutes, running on the bottom field for 3 - 4 hours and ...

Biggest fear for me is losing a limb or becoming paralysed.

Getting killed for something is not something that worries me greatly, once I'm dead I doubt I'll be able to care too much.

Thats pretty much exactly how I feel, when its your time to go its your time to go, its going to happen one day ...

Yeah I would also like to know what the phys is like.

I know it must be tough but is it very progressive? the phys must be easy (relative term) at the start and then get harder, because they can't hammer you like on the PRMC/POC every day or everyone will be injured surely? Do you have days off ...

Those pictures are brilliant.

In the replies on that forum it says a para got hit in the chest with a .50cal and the new combat body armour stopped it, does any one know if this is true? because I thought they tore through just about anything. If so thats pretty impressive considering the fuss ...

A quick question about the PJFT

Hello,

I don't post much here because all my questions are usually asked and answered by other people.

However, I had my interview the other day which went fine and he also gave me a introduction to the PJFT. He said it has done with a 2% incline, is this true? Because I assumed it was done on the ...
