Re: Help with training

I've done all the necessary research about the RAF Reg Gunner, been down to my local AFCO and I know it is the right career for me.

I'm pretty fit already as I have an active lifestyle.
I have my PJFT really soon and I'm starting to train harder than ever as I've seen how tough the PGAC and the TG ...

I'd prefer if they ditched the Bleep Test, everytime Ive completed it I find myself with a slight knee injury. Think they should just do a 1.5m run.

Of course running on grass is harder but very benificial in the fact that it increases your endurance plus less chance of injury. Just think positive on Monday, your body can do a lot more than what you might think.

Have you thought about joining your local running club Trotter9. Clubs are cheap to join plus you have people there who can advise you and your fitness will advance faster.

New MapMyRun beta Web - Site

Has anyone else checked out the new Map My Run web - site ? (http://www.mapmyrun.com/). It really is much more improved. You can save your own and view other peoples routes. So you can add a bit of variety rather than do the same old routes again and again.

I've found that the Saucony Hurricane brand has always been fantastic. Also the new Hurricane 9 was launched April 1st and really is a great runners shoe. Great fit and plenty of protection for road running races. Also works really well for cross country races.
