Good Way to practice the bleep test

Post by broders120 »

The PTI's have put a notice in the gym to help train for RAF Fitness Test.

On the Running machine start at 8.5kmh then every minute Increase by 0.5kmh. Every increase represents another level.

Just thought it a useful training tool.

Nice one!
Unfortunately I had my RAFFT on Thursday, but I'll try that (if I can remember it) before the next one...

You'll knacker your knees doing it that way...
The MSFT is really not good for you.
A number of people have suggested that if we have to do a bleep test, it should be on a 400m track, chasing lights. Alternatively, just let us do the BPFA instead. I'd quite happily do the 1.5 miler in 13.5 minutes, have done it in under 11 before now.

Didn't think PTI's would give out that particular bit of advice!

unfortunatley thats the test you have to do and not everyone can get hold of the MSFT so it's an easy way to see where abouts you are in the scheme of things.
I personally would rather do BFT 1.5 Miler and CFT

I'd prefer if they ditched the Bleep Test, everytime Ive completed it I find myself with a slight knee injury. Think they should just do a 1.5m run.
1.5 Miles = 07.49
3.0 Miles = 17.06
5.0 Miles = 29.48
6.0 Miles = 35.39
10 Miles = 1.01.07
13.1 Miles = 1.21.35
Bleep Test = 15.4
