What an inciteful thread.

Yet again, more nobodys talking gibberish about which they know nothing. Have any of you thought of a career in tabloid reporting? Politics? Throwing yourself infront of a moving train? Maybe they're too flattering, they require a modicum of intelligence.

I strongly ...

Rover, apologies - you'll note i was not confident in saying so - hence my money was on you. The mere prospect obviously got me over excited and far too eager.

Good point Duck. Maybe i should try harder at being funny on internet forums? You seem to try pretty hard, perhaps a leaf out of your book ...

"What mutant features do the men of X-Squadron possess?"

Delete that sharpish. Before you get every squaddie's wife, military band memeber and wannabe-marine posting 5 pages of drivel about how hilarious it would be to have a mutant X-squadron member who could mow the lawn whilst adminstering ...

Correct me if I'm wrong but both Neil and Rover claim to be ex-SF? (No, really, correct me if i am wrong because i may well be!)

And it would seem both seem to question the other's integrity...

Could it be time for the first 'walt-off'?

The very prospect excites me.

What is your obsession with 'SF'?

What does it matter what one unit is called, surely you'll join because of the job/trade they do?

Are you actually considering joining 21/23/HAC/RMR or just taking the pi$$?

What's your military background?

jsharps = legend.

Methinks alcohol may have something to do with the tone of his posts. Still...legendary.

I agree 'big dog'. It is clear that you are a well-rounded intelligent individual and will probably make a very good officer.

Essentially it's down to the individual. It does depend on your course and/or university to a certain extent. But what i was trying to get accross is that this is not, and ...

Not that that post about hypertrophy went over my head or anything! :o

I'll confess to knowing VERY little about HAC only having had one chat with some of the blokes on an exercise (nice badge though!).

What does the actual selection phase consist of?

Granted bigdog.

However to use your phrase-ology, if one were a potential Marine, one wouldn't kick up a fuss about time constraints and just crack on with it. Would one not?

Essentially, if you're the type of bloke that wants it, and the type of bloke that will get it, you wont sit around all day ...
