I remember in an engineering careers talk I had a while ago, that Military Engineering was another type of engineering availible to read at uni.

It was basically teaching you demolitions, but that the suubject is nolonger offered by many, if any universities.

Hope this helps,

Nubnuts,

It's not that I expect it to be done for me, more that I want to know how to do it best for myself!!

Anyway, it's all pretty much been answered for me, so thats that. 8)

Hi,

I do a bit of track running, and its got both advantages and disadvantages.

One of the advantages is that the surface is alot softer than tarmac, and so as you're recovering from an injury this will be a BIG plus.
Also it makes it much easier to measure distances, if you run 10 and a half laps ...

Thats what I thought, but I was just on that ArmyNet thing on the Army Homepage. The CSgt I spoke to said the chance was tiny, "Your job is behing the lines"

Could it be because I want to be an officer?

I've never actually attempted a whole marathon, but often (once or twice a month) do 12-15 hr yomps, alternating between a fast walk and a moderate run (12km/h)

The treadmill in the sauna sounds good! if slightly sweaty

Whats the difference between....

I was just wondering if anyone can tell me what the differences between REME and the Royal Engineers?

I'm currently trying to make up my mind as to which regiment to apply for and any help would be fantastic.

Cheers,
EH
