Military Engineer

Post by Engineer »

Hi im Joe Brazell, im all set for joining the Royal Engineers. But are temporarily delayed because of my braces. But hey leaves more time for training.

Anyhow as you all know all Sappers are trained as combat engineers, but I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on military engineers? Ive been on the MOD site but found it unhelpfull. Cheers

"Military Engineers" sounds a bit like one of those oxymoron things - a bit like "Military Intelligence"!!

I remember in an engineering careers talk I had a while ago, that Military Engineering was another type of engineering availible to read at uni.

It was basically teaching you demolitions, but that the suubject is nolonger offered by many, if any universities.

Hope this helps,
EH
