"It's not a bimble, but if you've got some proper hills in your legs, then it's not too tough either"

Followed by...

"Wasn't aware it was done with DS on selection though"

That route is laughably incorrect. Don't give duff info out to potential recruits.

If someone wants to know the route they ...

thats for a green pass, as well as a 10:30 run which very few t.a acheive on basic
Very few acheive on basic...!? You're telling me that the majority of TA Recruits can't even get the minimum score on the BPFA?

If that is true it is atrocious.

mfat_man;

You say that you know why the guys who passed, passed. Can you give us any insight as to what it was about them that showed success?

When did you attempt selection? How far did you get? Any advice?

You say that you had a chat with a Major and 'decided' to go Grenadier Gaurds?

I heard you failed RSC for the Paras (again).

Lads,

You're all writing away as if you have authority on such a subject. Who cares what ot's like? If you like it, watch it; if you don't like it, don't watch it. But don't go round making judgements about spawning a new load of 'wannabes'. The media did that in 1980

Don't assume you know what ...

I think I'm in love.

Dante's frank, honest and articulate posts are brilliant!

What does this suggest if not for one to ask questions regarding SF? Either change it or shut up; he asked a question, so answer him.

Dante, If you haven't had the answer yet or want to some more about 21/23 PM me ...

Jlitt, what happened to becoming a Para Reg Officer? Did you go on POC and RCB?

You see, this is what I don't understand. You have a dig at a 17 year old kid with no real backing or reason. Then when someone stands up to you, you act like a petulant kid. Grow up.

It doesn't matter what you read as long as you read a quality broadsheet and watch the news. You will inevitably get a question in your discussions along the lines of 'is abortion right' 'were we right to go into Iraq' etc. Just make sure you're competent on such issues.

The actual on-screen ...

Because 'they' haven't actually acheived anything.

Someone who used to be part of the organisation they are now part of joined the British Army. Well done. Want a medal?

Cadets topics when started with the inital inference of something vaguely more interesting (say, the previous thread asking whether cadets helps in the 'real' military) are sensible and acceptable.

But why the need to start another one which actually has no other intent than to rant on about 'how ...

OK - This thread is getting ridiculous.

James - you have your own views about CCF and other cadet units, and I think you are well qualified to talk on such matters considering you were a SNCO and were a member for over 3 years. But, you need to address the way you talk/write. You get people's ...
