ERR dilema

Post by jlitt »

Well I applied to be an infantry officer but was unsucessful. But I heard from a friend RE or REME might be a better course of action because of my BEng (hons) in engineering; it might be better for myself and the army long term. 1K-8K golden hello + pte to staff sgt. within 3yrs after two year artificer course. Articifer sgt. maj. after a few more years. Looked into it a bit more some information availible on web. But would like to know more before enquiring at careers office. Seems a bit improbable because I thought it took around 16 yrs to get WO rank.

Jlitt, what happened to becoming a Para Reg Officer? Did you go on POC and RCB?

Oh I get you now, sorry I must of misread it.

Why not go for Officer? You have a degree, so you have the education side, if you're fit enough to join as a Soldier then you have the fitness side.
