sum1 must have been through the TG course fairly recently and know the score?

This is all good info and I thank you all for your comments but the original question was does anyone know what time you can expect away from barracks on weekends and any block leave while on the course (TG)?

I know the feeling I am ex Para and want to join the RAF regt and have been told the same I have just got mine through and trust me it took ages (a few months) you have to write to the mod and request your service history in total...!!

I dont know why the AFCO can't do this, but they wouldn't with ...

Someone just posted on my previous thread that the TG course is going up to 32 weeks in April? I don't believe this to be true but if anyone can shed any light on it I'd be grateful?

This would make it the same as Royal Marines training the longest in the world!

Where did you hear that the TG course goes up to 32 weeks?? It's on none of the RAF sites or any forum, could you tell me where you came across this information?

Could anyone tell me what leave you get on Trainee Gunner course?
I know you get a long weekend after families day end of week 4, but do you get any other time off in the 22 weeks?

Are weekends your own generally? Can you go off base for these and meet the missus and kids if you wish ?

i wasnt to bothered but looking through paras area and they get the 4 week 1 as raf regiment then they get every weekend off after that if they want? and get a few weeks off i think week 12, 16 and pcoy after this!

could anyone tell me if its the same with raf regiment TG course ...
