Military Colleges

Post by Prm »

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any military collages in the UK ?. I have searched far and wide and have currently found next to no results :-? .

Personally I would love to go to a military collage as the lack of discipline in schools now is rife, the majority of teachers which I have are a bit poor to say the least (not saying that all teachers are, just that this has been my experience) and also the experience of going to a Military collage would no doubt help improve on my 'book-knowledge' which school has taught me.

I dont have a family history in the military and have only just come out of GCSEs with 'above average' grades. So if anyone here knows of any military collage/s , could you please tell me what you believe to be my chances of getting in ?.

Thanks for all your help guys, next time I post I'll try and make it input

Thanks again,
Prm.

Army Sixth Form College is called Welbeck (at least it was, I know they were moving but I don't know whether they closed down). There are also a couple of Military schools which may well extend into the sixth-form.

Have a look at Welbeck College: http://www.army.mod.uk/welbeck/

Mind you, its specifically for future Ruperts (All Arms).

Hope its what you're looking for.

You could try the AMU (American Military University) which is a fully accredited online university. It is for anyone though, not just Americans, and covers a wealth of topics.

Though...you may find it expensive if the military is not paying for it, but they have undergrad courses for just about any topic your interested in militarily.
