:wink: Josh, The first Regiment of Foot,The Royal Scots,are the oldest regiment of today's British Army.

Next Question.The second regiment of Foot, The Queen's The oldest English Regiment an almalgamation of the West Surrey,the East Surry, The Buffs,Royal Sussex,Royal West Kent and Middlesex Regiment. Aye JR

Thanks JR.

I thought the 'Scots' were the most senior regiment, being called The Royal Regiment and all, and I take it you mean PWRR for England. Which I again thought to be true. However I have heard the Grenadier Guards, The Life Guards and The Blues and Royals all claim to be the most senior. Hence it made sense to ask those in the know!

The Life Guards of The Household Cavalry are the Army's most senior Regiment.
But there NOT the oldest though, I belive it is the Royal Scots. But I thought that the Grenidier Guards were the 1st of foot. Again complicating things, but I'm probably wrong.
