Hi all,
I'm new to the forum but going through the process of hopefully joining the Para's.
Just wondering if anyone had read Major Sam McGrath's book? I bought it and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone joining the Para's or just interested in getting fitter. There's loads of stuff in there about the history of the regiment that could get you extra brownie points in your interview, and if you're trying to get fitter but just don't know where to begin, he has devised a really effective fitness schedule with loads of ideas to improve cardio, upper body strength, and motivation to get your trainers on and get out the door. Also helps give you an idea of the road to becoming a Para which could ease any fear of the unknown you might have.
Any opinions from anyone who has read the book?
Steve

Ok firstly I put it on general discussion before seeing the joining section, my mistake. Secondly if you've been there and done it this clearly wasn't aimed at you..
