Was a Territorial from Govan in Glasgow. So much for "weekend warrior" and playing at soldiers jokes, eh?

The 2nd TA soldier to get killed

Colleagues of a military policeman killed in Iraq paid tribute to a "much missed" workmate today as they returned after the Bank Holiday break.
Father-of-two Dewi Pritchard, 35, from Bridgend, was murdered with two British servicemen when their jeep was ambushed by gunmen in Basra.
The well-liked electronics engineer, who was a corporal in the Territorial Army, worked for Bosch in Cardiff.

Sorry for the loss, we lose one to two a day, they barely even mention it in the news, and the pictures and names have ceased here. I'd say something better if I could think of anything better, but looking at the situation here, I'd say we need to get used to seening this more in the future, the guerillas are organizing and we are still playing by the same predictable rule book. As Tu Pac said "We gotta make a change".
Let them call me a rebel and I welcome it, I feel no concern from it; but I should suffer the misery of demons were I to make a whore of my soul. (Thomas Paine)

Whitey, We here in the UK hear about the losses that the American troops have on a daily basis, yes we are concerned about your losses as well as our own losses. On thing about the ex-service community here in UK, we all stick together like brothers- in- arms no matter where you come from.
As for the general public I can't speak for them, but I'm sure they sympathise.

Well as I am a memebr of the general public I dont like hearing of UK or US troops getting killed. Every day I turn on the radio it's like a lottery is it US's troops or UK troops getting killed. I know it sounds harsh but it's true and my Condolences go out there family and friends of UK and US troops alike.or the loss, we lose one to two a day, they barely even mention it in the news, and the pictures and names have ceased here.
