Any help on this outfit?

This may sound peculiar, but I'm currently talking to someone that poses to be someone in the military. A lot of the information given to me by this person doesn't add up and the photographs sent to me seem to strengthen the feeling that this is just some sort of hoax. One of the last pictures I received was this one:

Now in order to prove that this person is lying I need some solid facts, that's why I'd like to ask you if you could tell me anything about this picture, the person claims she is a swedish soldier in there but the choice of arms and camouflage make me doubt that. Is there anyone that could give me a detailed list of the things we can see in the picture?

-Type of rifle
-Type of camouflage
-Type of helmet
-What the badge means

Anything that could be of help.

Now this might sound incredibly disrespectful to a possible servicewoman but I can assure you that the facts given to me are beyond ludicrous, there is over a 99% chance that this is a hoax, but I'd like to be one hundred percent sure before I can let this matter rest. I hope you can help me and I'd like to thank you all in advance.

Well it is not British, they are carrying what looks like a version of the M16 rifle. Looking at the kit I would it is Scandinavian

The rifle is the Swedish Automatkarbin 5 (Ak-5).
Can't see the badge from here *cranes neck!* ...

If you doubt her, then ask her to go on webcam with some of her military kit. That's the only foolproof way to find out if she's lying or not. Her pic does looks Scandinavian, though. But I know from personal experience that some people are very 'talented' at faking themselves online, from being able to provide convincing details to getting good fake pics. For all you know, she might be nicking Facebook pictures off a friend of hers who is serving in the Swedish Army.

I know her.
She's my ex-wife posing as a Scandinavian soldier.
Though she was blacker the last time we met.
First time I got a clue was her fluent East Russian.
The badge is Spetznatz Speshial Kommando,but I never said that.Did I?

Any particular reason for wanting to out her? Has she spurned your advances? Stolen your ABBA collection?

You could end up looking a twat yourself....

Without the 'information that doesn't add up' all we've got to go on is the photo...

...and according to the photo the girls are holding standard issue Swedish military weaponry (as ofens says, the Ak 5)
Their cam is as used by Swedish military
Helmet shape is as used by Swedish military
Can't see the badge well enough to comment.
Looks like they're wearing sporrans, but again that's standard Swedish body armour bollock protector (muff guard)

They're probably wearing the gloves because they've been laying out the razor wire. Their cam needs some work but no better or worse than some of our regular girls on exercise..

Looks gen enough to me....

I'd be careful about posting photos of someone you know up on a website without their consent though..... Is she likely to get upset?
You'll soon know if she's from proper Viking stock when your front door gets smashed in with a War Axe and her angry dad pops in for a chat......

I'm beginning to notice humor and jocularity creeping back into some recent posts.
