Just got my PRMC date

Post by lollyshaun »

21st October, coming down from Edinburgh....can't wait.

Anyone else on this date?

Here's what i've got on the RMAD I done last week; 1.5 mile - 10:18
Push ups - 60
Sit ups - 77
Pull ups - 6
Bleep Test - Level 9 (didn't even break a sweat though, had an unbearable knee injury)

Just going to beast myself over the next 7 weeks. Running in the morning, Circuit in the evening, 5 days out of 7, swimming on rest days. Think that will be enough to improve my cardio and keep my strength where it is? I'm going to mix up the cardio with HIIT, hill running, distance running as well though.

I suppose the biggest worry I have is things like how to address my superiors. I'm excited right now but I know i'll be shitting it like a week before I leave.

Not sure when mine is yet  got to get through my interview medical and PJFT still! shouldn’t be a problem though. Medical is on the 10th interview is on the 18th, PJFT they say should be a few days after that so, how long did you have to wait to get your PRMC date?

Well done mate and good luck with your PRMC. Don't overdo it with the training though. You don't wanna nakere yourself out before you even get there. Sometimes on my rest days (today being one of them) I just wanna go the gym or jump in the pool. Tomorrow though I know Im going to put twice as much effort into my session because Im nicely rested up. As tempting as it is to train, on rest days you've got to do exactly that. Also you dont wanna injure yourself with overtraining. Sounds like your proper motivated for it though.

Obviously your choice and good luck on the 21st

On another note though if everything goes ok on my RMAD at the end of the month I might be on that PRMC. :D

I got my first prmc date the day after I passed my RMAD. The guy on the phone said he could book me in for late September but I asked for a later date as I have a screwed up knee and need to go see a physiopherapist.

Ha I don't think "overdoing" training will be a problem for me. I'm a lazy bastard and i'm not doing enough training. The day I decided to join i've been training like crazy but for the past 3 weeks the only exercise i've done is the PJFT and the RMAD because of my knee(I know...excuses, excuses).

Getting this letter through and realizing how close the PRMC is has got me motivated though.

And wow the process has been f@#k quick for u mate.... Application to PJFT in 3 weeks? It only took me 2 months but f@#k that is fast. Keep in touch if you get on the 21st October(won't see you on the train though, 9 hour trip from Edinburgh straight down to Exeter :-? )

PRMC is very sprint orientated, but you need to balance it with endurance for the bottom field. 7 weeks you can smash it if your reasonably fit now.

ha 3 weeks, I wish mate. Ive been injured and recovering for the best part of the last year. Applied Aug 2007 lol. Sounds like youve been training like a ninja to pass pjft and rmad in 3 weeks so fair play.

If I make that Oct 21st PRMC il let you know.
