yeah, i know a few tips. simple really to be honest!
plenty of squats and lunges you dont have to use super
heavy weight you see all these stead heads using to get massive
just a nice weight that you can may be do 12-15 reps with
then progress in weight!
this training will help take the strain off the knee caps by building the lower quads 'so to speak'
if you keep at this around 4 times a week
you may feel a difference in your knees in around 1-2 months!
if not then screw this essay i wrote you and see a specialist physio
good luck fella, give it time

That's surely got to make the nobber list.
Try Lunges or Squats on bad knees and see where it gets you.
Good point, I mean knees hardly come into play at all whilst squatting.yeah anything really that isnt going to put too much strain on the old knees

Hey first post here. Hello everyone!
I advise you to rest the injured part and apply ice. There can be loads of factors for causing the tendinitis, there is no point trying to strengthen it when you need to identify the root cause of the injury.
Take a trip to the physios who can run lots of different tests to see whether a variety of factors including q angle, muscle strength differences or to see if you have an underlying problem preventing you from recovering from your knee injury e.g. posture
Hope this helps!

iv'e had 2 operations on my left knee as my kneecap
was tracking to the left and wearing itself down.
ice packs are used for sore/fuked muscles do NOT apply
if you are getting the pain ON the patella/knee cap its self
i have tried everything you could possibly think of t stop the pain
and now i have started strength training around my knee
i have minor probs now and nothing like before.
this is good simple info that DOES help
i dont think you should go see a physio just yet
dont worry yourself as most of the replys on here
are pretty worrying.
