Aptitude test

Post by woody72 »

My letter is due anytime now confirming an appointment at my AFCO for the aptitude test. I'm pretty sure I remember hearing the adviser when I was there mention something about you only have 2 times to pass this. If you fail it once you had to wait a few months and then if you fail again you CANNOT re-sit it again?

Is this true or is my memory a bit fuzzy? I don't intend on failing but it certainly heightens the pressure if this is the case.

It would make sense, if one were to fail a second time would they have any more chance of passing on 3rd/4th/5th attempts? I'm sure they would make exceptions however, if there were mitigating circumstances for it.

I guess failing twice would mean the individual just doesn't have the aptitude to be a Royal Marine...

From other peoples descriptions, it doesn't sound too hard so you shouldn't worry about it. Prepare to the best of your ability and I'm sure you will come through.

Good luck

If you fail the test then you can re-sit in 6 months if your still in full time education or have had written proof that you've taken part it some kind of classes I think. 12 months if your not in education.

Do a search as well mate, loads of answers on here to all questions on here.
