Hello all,
Well I passed my PGAC last week. Just have offer of service interview on 8th Jan then should start TG course on the 10th Feb. (Well Chuffed!)
Here is an outline of the four days at Honington (if anyones interested):
DAY 1: Arrive 2130 at RAF Banham. Issued overalls, boots, fleece and shirt. Get into accomodation. Get PGAC intro in the classroom.
DAY 2: "Early" start (6am). Clean block, shower and shave...get breakfast. Go to Honinngton for Key Skills assessment on the computer. Also, have brief on the RAF Reg (e.g. shown gear they use, the training they do and what there role is.
After dinner its over to the gym for the bleep test, press-ups and sit-ups.
Get into accom before tea. Tidy up. Have tea. After tea, shown how to set out kit for inspection. After this you get shown how to look after your feet, boots and get shown the contents of a ration pack.
DAY 3: Up at 6am again. Shower and shave.Get the block ready for inspection. Have breakfast. Then over to pool for swim (25m pool= one circuit...get out without using steps). Straight after is 3miler on field.
Have lunch from ration pack...get beasted in afternoon...TAB to overnight location (was a killer...its strange running with a pack and weapon for the first time)...get shown some minor tactics...cook tea from ration pack and sit on stag.
DAY 4: Up at 6am. Have ration pack breakfast. Get block ready for inspection. Shower and shave. Get into suit for interview. Have "medical". Go to dinner. After dinner have interview. After that you get issued boots if you have passed. Go home.

Passed my PGAC (Diary)
Well done mate!!
Got my date for my PGAC changed to the 07/01/2008 now so if all goes well might get on that TG Course your on.
Few questions if you can answer them mate:
Did they stop you at 10 press-up's and 25 sit-up's or was it best effort, same for the Bleep Test?
What was the 3 mile run route like?
Cheers mate!

It was best effort for everything (bleep, PU, SU). Word of warning though, make sure you get at LEAST 10 clear for the PU and SU. For the bleep and get at LEAST half a level above (i.e. 9.6 instead of 9.1). Also, probably best to have your own boots WELL worn in before you go down or you get landed with crap ones.
The 3miler is done in a group in two ranks. The actual run is on the sports field around 1 football and 1 rugby pitch. All of it is on grass.
You get to stretch for the 3miler but not for the bleep test.
Hope this has helped and good luck with your PGAC.

Thanks for the insight tucker, I've got my PGAC on the 7th April. What did the medical consist of? Because I had one at the careers office but it was only very basic.
Initial Test.....PASSED
Selection Interview.....PASSED
Medical.....PASSED
PGAC......7th April 08
Final Interview..... TBC
TG course...... TBC

Basically the medical consisted of:
Weighing you.
Measuring your height.
Measuring your bodyfat.
Taking the size of your feet.
Getting you to walk on special sensor runway (5m) a few times to assess the pronation of your foot.
The stuff with the pronation of your foot is good to see and that in the future they will be able to recommend insoles for your boots/trainers to stop injuries such as shinsplints (well thats what is meant to be happening...)
Hope this has enlightened you a bit and best of luck with your PGAC.
