I went for a run today and after I came back, my knees ached whenever I walked.
This hasn't happened before. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Sam.

Hi designervision,
You could have given us some more details....
Was it a longer run than usual?
Was the pace faster than you usually run?
What kind of terrain were you running on?
How often do you run?
When did you last run, and how far did you run then?
All these things and more could play a part.
Regards

The run was only 10 mins long. It was straight after I woke up in the morning and my knees did feel a little stiff at the start. I was running on pavement. I havent run that much recently but trying to get back into it. I last ran about a week ago and that was 5 km on a tread mill.
Thanks everyone! Anymore ideas from the information I just gave?
Sam.

You cant 'strech' your knee joints as such, which is why you should do a warm up first, for instance running around lifting your knees as high as you can, or bringing your feet as far back as you can while jogging around, side stepping for a bit and so on.
