I don't get this. What was wrong with the Royal British Legion?

Mr P. Take a walk down the street and ask the first person you see what the Royal British Legion is, for that is the reason why he is posting the sun. More people know The Sun, than the RBL. Not everyone is military minded.

Good point I just wish people did more to promote the Royal British Legion. It's a bit irresponsible of the Sun to promote this new charity in the week before November 11th - it'll just take away money from the Legion. Still - I've given a fiver (don't have a go I'm a student OK I need to eat )

It does not matter a jot what you give to the legion, even a few pence, every little helps. Come this forthcoming rememberance Sunday I will meet up with my mate Geordie (Ex Para) and we will as per normal do our thing at 1100hrs and from then on aviod the Church Service and have a few wets in various hostelries with our ladies.

He will take the piss out of me and I will take the piss out of him whilst our ladies will look on and take the piss out of both of us. Don't get me wrong people, I always remember the guys who are not there with me. Ditto Geordie.

The guy I donated £1 to today (I don't have that much money) just so happened to be in the Rifles, so I got a good old chat with him about training along with an OAP who seemed to know what the training was like at Catterick as well, definaly the best spent £1 8)
