i know this should be on the rmr forum but thats pretty dead! im in year 11 right now and want to join the reserves once ive finished my gcse's in may (or at least start application process) but i read on the royal marine website that on joining you cannot be in full-time education, i was hoping to attend college and uni while in the reserves. however ive read elsewhere that the reserves respect your education commitments, does anyone know what the policy is regarding this or is anyone in a similar situation??
cheers ramsey

Being in full time education is not a problem for being the RMR; about a third of recruits in RMR London are students.
If you are under 18 you will need parental authorisation but that is it.
Crack on with it; being in the RMR while you are a student is a perfect fit. As a student you have loads of time and no money; the RMR takes up a fair amount of time (hence reducing the time you have available to spend money in pubs and cluhs) and give you money. Bonus!
