hi everyone hopefully someone can help me these boards have changed so much anyway if any of you dont know me i used to be a nod i suffered an injury in training and spent 36 weeks in hunter coy. i left due to family problems anyway since leaving the corps i have had to have an operation from my injury from training i was diagnosed with compartment disorder iv been told i can rejoin i just need to know how i can get fully over my injury hope some one can help thanks ross

i had anterior ompartment syndrome maybe a month or two ago and the way i corrected it was letting it heal up for a week and then buying sorbothane innersoles which stop 94% of the impact when running. also running on softer surfaces, (grass, sand etc) helps take the impact off as well, a combination of all three helped me get over my compartment syndrome within a week and a half, but then again mine wasn't serious enough in the first place to have an op.

hey guys thanks. its good to be gettin back flo hey that poem was preety hoofing that your young lad wrote iv heard about these sorbathanes how much are they and where can i buy them? regarding podatrist i seen one when i was in hunter coy and i got orphotics but i think they caused more damage than good im currently not running at all just cycling , cross trainer and rowing thanks guys if anyone else got any advice please help

You can get sorbothane innersoles from most sports shops, and outdoor camping/hiking stores, and they cost anywhere from £11-17, also run a search for them online and you should find a few places.

Sorbothanes are the db's - even 15 years ago when I was in training most lads had them - but the boots (standard high leg combat) and other footware (pussers issue pumps and trainers) then were pretty crap. The insoles were pricey then (about £18 for the full ish boot ones) but even for a tight arse like me they were indispensible. I can't believe you went to CTC without them fodd Give them a go, I had a few (I assume)impact related grumbles before I joined as a 26 year old nod, but nothing in training or afterwards. There's a few different sorts but I had boot ones and a thin set for trainers/pumps. The boot ones I had look like the 'double strike' model on this website.........

thanks sully i'll check them out i have orphotics but i think they do more damage than good plus when i was in hunter coy a lot of lads were getting issued chits to wear lowas so im going to try my luck and grovel to the doc to get a chit i think i have to go to naval hq for my medical because of my injury thanks again.
