Fair play mate, at least you gave it a go, and next time you will be even better prepared. Just stay motivated and don't do anything stupid in the meantime!

Pity you couldn't stay there a bit longer, it would have given you more of a feel of what it is like down at Lympstone whilst training.

Don't go applying for the RAF just yet though.

Yes I could have stayed but i just wasnt fit enough i felt like a tit after failing the running. Looking back i could and mabye should have stayed but i have £££ bills to pay/work-no excuse though. There were a about 6/7 of us that failed the 3miler so i didnt come last, im very dissapointed with myself, it got me thinking have i really got what it takes im not sure anymore :( I liked it when i was down there though good but young set of lads there was me and a couple more 22 year olds but decent blokes. There was a guy down there though who was the biggest nobber I ever met in my life, glad he wasnt in my room!
Rifleman and jonno from this board also went down im sure they will write up a good account of what it was like for anyone interested.

i dont know what time it was in a few of the lads said it was faster than 22:30 but its at a good pace, if your fit you will pass this no problem. Also there is a good warm up before hand.

Fro83. I know EXACTLY how you feel as i F**ked my 3 miler also last month. Exactly the same situation as you. I also have to wait 6 months. Im devestated. But after a week or so the initial shock of the failure fades and I wish you th every best of luck getting back on training mode if this is the career you still wish to pursue.
I started training for re sit prmc march 07 now and maybe we'll be on the same course!?

Kind regards
Sykes.
