Recruit training 7th November

Post by Daveb »

Anyone else got this date?

This is my 'last chance saloon'. If I am still injured for this one I gotta re-take PRMC again. Bugger!

Oh well, if that's the case, so be it.

Anyways, hopefully one or two of you may be on this one too.

I have my PRMC in "late october"- whether this means I will be on November 7th training remains to be seen (whether or not I pass, and also)- I am not sure how long after the PRMC your training starts? Info would be helpful. Look out for a lad called "Barthropp" (surname :))

I haven't done my PJFT yet, got to ring up the AFCO and book it up at the gym; I'm pretty confident about it though.
Passed the medical the other day, though (Sept 1)

Best of luck Daveb,

hope your injury gets better mate. I take its been nearly 1 year since your PRMC. If you do have to do it again at least you’ll be able to say whether it’s got easier or if its still just as tough as in the old days. :D

good luck mate. Just dig in I hope you stay free from injury and just dont give up. You have the right attitude and you have stuck out the idea for so long you deserve a decent shot mate so go prove yourself.

One way or another you'll get in Daveb. I can honestly say you're an inspiration to me, and I'm sure the rest of the injured masses on here. Dedication, perseverence and the right attitude, you display them all.

It's just a matter of time before you get in.

Your prolonged stint on civvy street has benefitted the forum community with your advice, so from a utilitarian point of view your injury was probably for the best. :-? :D

It sounds like you know what your doing so best of British luck to you. :P

Aww cheers lads! That's well nice of you all to say that! My head is gonna grow so big now I aint gonna be able to fit it through the door! :P
  (just joking!)

I just came back from Alton Towers today (dont worry, it will be on subject!), my hip was really aching to start with, but after walking around for an hour it went almost completely! Woohoo! Then drove home 4 hours and it's back! Bugger! Guess that it could be to the muscles around the injury relaxing that is causing the pain!? (only a wild guess, I'll ask my physio on Friday when I see her next).

I passed my PRMC on the 20th of september and the earliest training date they had was 5th december, so any lads who have just done PRMC, dont expect to start till January.

Look on the bright side. Start Nov and come April/May your going to be doing your Commando tests during the nice season of Spring.

Not to hot and not to cold. Just right in fact.
