PRMC Hold Up

Post by juxta »

I have passed all my tests, got 9:30 on the gym phys for the RM and now waiting to get into my PRMC but my centre won't put me on it because i have been told i'm not ready.

The only problem is that i have a limited time to stay with my family so i can join.

Is my fate basically stuck with the recruiting office or is there a way to get my chance at PRMC and get on with my career?

what was the reason they said that you were not ready for the prmc?

having been to prmc and failed after thinking i was ready, i can guarantee that if they have asked you what you do for training, and they believe it is insufficient, then they are correct.
PJFT : 9.12
PRMC : 24th May... FAILED
Going back - sometime after Chrimbo

Slaphead-17, have you applyed for the royal marines yet or waiting for prmc dates.

Got my prmc coming up, my overall fitness is okay but I'm still having trouble with my press-ups. Also, when i had my prmc de-brief i was told that they use the USMC test for the circuit. I have done this test before in college
but just wanted to know if anyone else done this on there prmc.

Ye, I think their are 8 or 9 exercises. As I'v said, I have done it before in college and found it strange that the royal marines do it, although it does cover basic fitness. At least I know what to expect

Going to watch Liverpool get slapped

I think they go as follows, but it is off the top of my head.

PRESS-UPS
SIT-UPS
BERPEES
NAPU
SHUTTLE RUNS 8 shuttle runs in lest then 42 seconds (20 meter)
SQUAT THRUST
CHIN-UPS

This is the one that we did in college, I don't know if this is the one the royals do, but this is the one we did in college.

From what i hear PRMC changes all the time, why dont they just stick to the same tests and not change anything. As long as it doesnt get made less difficult thats all im bothered with.

Good luck with your medical :D

Doc I agree, the usmc isn't that hard that is why it surprised me that they use it on the prmc, but I would imagine they give you a GOOD warm up :D

Come on reds!!!

From what I've read on here/heard at CTC, some PTIs use the USMC tests as (or as a basis for) gym test 2 (which in my opinion is harder than bottom field), and you certainly do similar gym sessions during the first few weeks of training.
