Camp Circuits

Post by Daveb »

I've heard a lot about doing camp circuits when you start foundation. What are these? How long are they?

I'm guessing its run around the camp, but how far is that roughly?

aahh - camp circuits. It is an 800m best effort run around a section of the camp. They wouldn't be so bad if you weren't already hanging from the MSC circuits. They increase the number of camp circuits all the time and eventually you will do them carrying those heavy green mats.

Aahh. Can't wait to get back to that.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... 'F*ck, what a trip!'

i think someone said its about 800m, dont worry they arent that long. they are just bloody annoying when you have to do them over and over when you are knackered from the gym.
You have to do them in a certain time though, well at least at some point, again i think someone told me it was 3 mins, but im usually at the back when we come in from the camp circuits and i seem to do it on time so it cant be that bad.

My troop had to double everywhere, even when you were on your own. Was a hangout after an exercise having to double round camp, it turns into more of a feet shuffling event to be honest. But i think it helped me out a bit when it came to speed marching as your legs were a bit more used to the pace.

More entertaining that way...

Camp circuits are the bane of the 9 weeks you spend in the gym. One of my most memorable sessions was a 40 minute period on a Saturday morning, spent doing rope climb, camp circuit, rope climb, camp circuit, rope climb...etc...etc...etc...

You have to run it in 3 minutes on gym passout day, not a hard time to beat but you will be hanging out your hoop by that stage. Don't worry, all phys is good phys 8)
