Could someone please shed some light on the format of an Army 2 miler test. Is it a straight run with weight, if so what weight? And what time is expected of recruits undergoing this test in p-company for example.
I ask, purely because i want to have a go at it, and i wouldnt want to cheat myself and do it wrong.
I have a feeling it might be 35lb bergen. Would you wear webbing aswell on something like a 2 miler?
Thanks.

Why waste a phone call, when we have knowledgeable resources on this forum, like Cheesepossessed.alex4013 wrote:Why not ask your local PAra Reg TA? They'll tell you straight...

One word I would use to describe the run...painful. I did it in 18:32, and the second half of my route was up hill. However I doubled the whole way, and ultimately I am encouraged by my time as it is a sign of my increasing fitness prior to Phase 1 training.

35lbs Bergan (not including water), helmet, smock, rifle in under 18.45 (although no PTI will bring you in that slow.)
