2 Medicals?

Post by Daveb »

Hi lads,

I've just been reading the Royal Marines website (for like the 100th time :)) and saw that when you begin foundation you have a medical. Am I right to say that this is the 2nd one then? As you have one during the application process aswell.

Do they go into more detail during this one then or is it just another routine medical (like the one you have already taken)?

If anyone could enlighten me on this (especially people who maybe have done this already), it would be a great help.

Cheers

Dave,
I thought that the second medical would be a more detailed affair - how wrong was I. All they do is take blood and check which vaccines are up to date. If you need any vaccines they just give these to you. You also have a dental checkup.

Hope this helps.
Ben
