We were lied to by our Government. The documents WERE sexed up. Iraq has/did have WMD's. I have seen videos of the Iraqis using them. Saddam did NOT however have any means of delivery in a conventional sense which would endanger the UK directly.
Yes his regime was terrible. There were however many ways to deal with him. Blair jumped onto Bushes coat tails and brought us into a situation were we CAN'T win.
Our citizens are getting shot. tortured and beheaded in Iraq.

May I remind you that Mugabe has commited genocide in Zimbabwe for around 2 decades now killing many more people than Saddam............(not to mention forcing whites out of zimbabwe and brutally killing them).............

I aint looked at the manifestos yet, but I definatly wont be voting Labour. Last year or two I swung towards the Green Party for their ideas on drugs, food, security and energy. But I`m going have to research a bit more in the coming months.

If you want Blair out then surely a vote for BNP or UKIP or any of the minority parties is a vote wasted. You will only get Blair and Labour out by voting for the Tories or the Liberals.

Greg, I have family out there, they are back in Scotland for the moment as one is very ill, but when they go home, it is uncertain if their house will still be there for them, but they have a black house keeper who they trust to look after house while they are away. They have to keep a loaded gun in the house at all times, and it wouldn't be the first time they have been broken into and it has saved their lives. I must admit that I am biased and would still vote for Bush if I could, just because he's not liberal, however much I dislike him.
Had Chretien's Liberal's gone to war they would still be where they are today, likely in minority but still in power.
When the Big Red Machine gets into gear, the Toronto baby boomers, Italians and Trudeau-era immigrants flock to the polls when the community whips call them and return the Reds to power, lest open-floodgate immigration and white-guilt socialism grind to a halt.
That's what Harper failed to understand in June, the election was his to lose. Had he reigned in the vocal right-wingers and campaigned to the centre he would have won, but his zeal got the better of him. Harper stayed on the right and said nothing when Martin smeared him. Harper next time will be in the centre and will go on the attack late in the campaign, when it counts. I spent hundreds of hours as a volunteer working to bring in the Conservatives in 2004 and my time will not be wasted, er, eventually.
The only solution for Canada right now is for people like us to emigrate to Australia and govern Canada from exile. The forgotten, underfunded military should all resign at once and transfer to the British and Australian forces. Toronto, Vancouver, and Anglo Montreal's vote influence has grown so big that all is lost unless Quebec and Western Canada seperate into their own sovereign nations and eliminate Ottawa's existence.
Australia, a warm Canada with no second language, a growing military and an elected senate. Let's get there.

what they call 'strategic voting', i'd liken it more to 'tactical' voting, since you probably have little say over the long term policy. We suffer similar problems across the pond here. I sympathize.

I will/am most likely head down the path your referring to. Thus my application to the British forces. I can only pray it works out.
But, i still have this nagging thorn in me that would like to stick around and see the liberals exposed for their full 40-50 years of treachery, but looking at the decayed state we are in, this is next to impossible. But the truth can only be buried for so long, it ALWAYS rears its ugly head sometime...
All we can hope is that the liberals will be caught red handed (again) and the S**T will hit the fan. Then we have to hope that the S**T hitting the fan turns into a S**T storm (lazy canuck opens eye), and from there proceeds into a S**Tnami propelled by ever helpful S**T hawks.
Ok whatever, i just want to see some revenge...
