Gaining Weight

Post by Edwards159 »

Currently im a bit skinny and on the BMI im underweight. I just want to gain some weight and beef out a bit. Ive tried supplements such as Progain etc. but i didnt see much of a impact.
Anyone got any ideas?

Is being underweight such a big deal and will it disadvantage me in Training?

Don't worry about it mate, not having a large baulk to carry around on all the runs could be an avantage. Most of the lads I served with where not that heavy, but where very wirey. So just get your self as fit as possible and relax.

theres something out there called WHEY, this puts on alot of weight.

building muscle will help, if you just want weight and size then you should be lifting as heavy as possible for 4 reps and try todo 5 sets

do this per body part and you will grow very fast

The protein supplements are only good if your using them in conjunction with a heavy weight programme. However, generally, one of these protein drinks contains around 24g of protein which is the same as a tin of tuna.

If your trying to gain weight, then the supplements your looking for are 'mass gain' products. You should also be eating 5 times a day.

One thing to bear in mind, if you're doing lots of C.V work you'll find it very hard to gain weight.

Is it important to be of a reasonable weight when joining the paras? Do you have to be bulky when joining the paras?

Just eat like an absolute bastard and do loads of weights. Protein shakes etc aren't necessary.

Just remember that if you put another 20 lbs, it is another 20 lbs that you have to carry around with you on all those runs. Best thing is just yourself fit and let the rest follow, lets face it you don't stop growing until you are 21, then you start baulking up after that.
