sorry its been a while. i have no internet at home.
Basically i was told by the overseas recruiting office that i need a residential address in the uk so that where my uk residential address is is where i go to the recruiter etc. basically so they know where i am in the uk.
I need a place anywhere in the uk but it wiuld be prefable that it be near a major town(london etc.).
I only nned to be in engalnd 2-3 weeks and i will pay 300 pounds to stay there for that time so anyone with a couch they could lend me and wants to make 300 pounds let me know. (my interview and prmc is around the 25 of aug)
and it might take a couple days for me to reply so please be patient
thanks

Aussie in distress
GA,
Should no-one on the forum answer your plea, have you considered phoning a hostel and asking for a special rate? Possibly a bed and breakfast? YHA in Golder's Green was very reasonably priced, as I recall.
Or, look up the TNT magazine UK website and answer the ads for shared accomodation in London, again, they may be very flexible.
When I arrived in Leeds in 2000, I stayed at a university dorm (single ensuite room) for about 14.00 GBP a night. It was either Leeds Metropolitan University or University of Leeds. The building was close to the Royal Armouries south of the canal-anyone form Leeds who can confirm? Really desperate-phone the Royal Armouries and an employee may be able to tell you the uni or name of the bldg.
Good luck and PM anytime.

Graham,
Ive just spent a year studying at the university of portsmouth and ive got a mate who lived in the student accomodation halls for a year and he reckons they rent the rooms cheap over the summer so you could try giving them a call, ask them for the number for Rees hall. if df2inaus stayed at leeds why not try giving a few universitys a call, theres loads in London and in all the major citys.
