Hydrographic/Meterological/Oceangraphic Officer?

Post by defender2 »

Hi
Currently i am doing a Geography degree, where i can specialise in Meterology and oceanography, therefore i thought this might be a good path. However, i'd like to know what it would really be like, would i spend all my time sat behind a screen?. Also is there a high intake for these positions or is it quite specialist?

Any help appreciated
Thanks

I applied to enter as hydrometoc rating and was given a start date of october 04 since its the smallest specialization going so i guess there is even less vacancies for officers
