Ref speed traps:

This daft bugger near to where I live fitted a strope light to blind the camera. Result was different to say the least. Blinded the oncoming drivers and himself. everyone who came into contact with him must have reported him to the Police. As he has been Knicked for using a dangerous appliance or summut.

I reckon he has got the IQ of a flip flop.

Sticks; Why not put your spare puss in a placky bag and when you get near to a camera hurl it at the lens!

On the subject of speed cameras.
is it true that if you go past them over 120mph or 140mph you wont get done? I heard this somewhere and it may also be the reason why so many motorcyclists have been done for very high speeds, as they were trying to get over the 120/140mph but werent quick enough.
Jeremy Clarkson did a programme in holland and they hate them, most cameras were vandalised and generally traffic police and anti speeding equipment arent liked to say the least.

Kwew I saw that program as well, I think the car that beat the speed camera was a Aston Martin DB7, lovely car. I can't believe that people actually blow up, knock down, and shot at the speed camera's, well done who ever they are. :)

Camera on the A43 south of Silverstone got the flaming tyre treatment  Er, not guilty m`lud. The Clog who vandalises Gatsos likes to paint them pink a few days before blowing them up :P Maybe there`s a clue in the choice of colour 8)
Down here, the cameras get hijacked because the operators like to hide their vehicle some distance from the camera, so it`s a simple task. When the operator has tried to intervene, they usually get filled in. Even more than they hate policemen, Australians hate the camera operators, local radio gives constant updates on the positions. There is the usual pretence about saving lives etc, but the revenue gathered by the cameras runs to forty-odd million dollars in Perth alone. During recent police strikes for more dosh," Police Concern for the safety of the camera operators" led many cops to park up, 100m in front of cameras with the blues flashing 8)
State govt was losing too much dosh so, hey presto, police get 15% over three years :P
Maybe you should try that in Cornwall, BR 8)

I do not hold any responsibility for the speed camera lens on the road into plymouth passing Sainsburys being constantly spray painted pink ...

Close, 160mph as I recall. The man Clarkson did it on one of his shows last year (may have been Top Gear????). They tried various speeds and cars but it took a TVR going like sh*t off a shovel before the camera would not flash. Needless to say unless you are very rich you will not be travelling at 160mph near a speed camera......
There are 3 kinds of people: those who can count & those who can't.
