FAQ

Post by El Prez »

The 'Joining RM' forum would be a tad tidier if there was a sticky section of FAQs. It would save repetition and ensure everyone gets the same duff info

Or use the Search option before you ask. ;)
Don't worry Rob, a FAQ is on the list. :)

Thanks Jay, I keep cutting in when a newby joins in order to prevent someone going off at them. Rob

I do have one idea which is probably insanely complicated and tedious to implement, but... How about when people post a thread, it can be assigned a "FAQ tag" by moderators if they think it's useful, perhaps because it's a viable question that hasn't been answered before. So when people try a search they can only search for threads with FAQ value, so don't have to trawl through zillions of irreleveant threads or those which get hijacked without the question being answered, ahem :). Of course no new information would be available, but getting straight to the juicy bits might entice people to use the search more. Ladies, gentlemen and opressed farm animals, I await your derision :D.

A good Idea. Pity he shows no potential Jay, we could use a new bathroom cleaner at the new summer palace and timeshare in Basra RM, pronounced 42 Commando!
