Clothes for the PRMC?

Post by TheCount »

I'm wondering what would be best to wear for the Initial Journey to CTC, would a suit be considered too much and would it make me stand out like a sore thumb?

Would casual clothes be a better bet?

What about my Pink Lycra Jump suit?

Ideally I'd like to hear from the men who passed *cough* dan *cough*

Thanks again

Personally, i;d wear something like black jeans (or other SMART trousers, no blue jeans), nice casual shirt/smart jumper, and something like smart dk colour trainers (Lacoste for example) or other smart/casual shoes.

Im not a fan of suit/tie etc, fuk dat for a laugh, im not mr public school mummies boy, not a chance, nor am i mr scruffy fresh from the building site ;).

Jus keep it casual, but smart and presentable :)

Err..... Suit = Public school mummies boy?

Maybe I'm being pretentious but I always wear a suit when we have meetings at work or when I'm going to a trendy restraunt.

Maybe it's an age thing

If you were going out for the evening you would wear smart clothes to impress the birds.
You are trying to impress the recruiting staff. Casual trousers, not jeans, shoes not trainers, and a shirt, tucked in, not looking like a Clubber on his way home. Simple but effective. Also stand up straight, keep your hands out of your pockets, if that's difficult get Mum to sew them up temporarily, it'll save on the press ups bill.
Take jeans and casual stuff for meal times etc. Only 2 weeks to push, don't forget to back off the training 2 days before you go. Good luck.
You should talk to somebody who gives a f**k.

I'm glad you've bought this up Count, as I have thought about this before. I think as long as you look smart, as it's mainly admin you deal with in the first day. I think that should suffice.

Two weeks Count isn't long atall mate, do you feel ready for it? Personally i'd be sh*tting it..

I'm a little worried but I'm pretty fit, My pressups are still a pain but I'm hoping the extra andrenalin on the day will give me a boost.

As far as the cardio stuff goes I think i'll do pretty well, here's hoping.

I've run every single day for the last fortnight with no day off and I'm feeling pretty good for it, I always try to do at least 4 miles and it has really helped my stamina.

I get more nervous as each day passes but I suppose that's normal.

Hi everybody!

Can't help you with that 'cough*dan*cough' fellow, but when I went on my PRMC I was instructed by my AFCO to wear a suit. Nothing mummies-boy about it at all, a good looking fellow looks pretty hot all decked out! Nearly everyone wore a suit or smart trousers/shirt combo. No need to go out and buy a suit but definitely the smarter the better.

When I joined the site many moons ago, I thought I was in the '3 Amigos' with Wilson and Statistic. Wilson you have taken nearly 9 months getting on a PRMC! You cheeky scally you.
Aye, DAN

Good man! Just leave the sling backs and nail file at home.

There's nothing wrong with standing out from the crowd, if by standing out in smart clothes and smart appearance you impress those around you. Adverse comments usually come from those too incompetent or dull to think about detaching from the herd.

It sounds like your being assessed the minute you step off the train.

For a moment there I thought my Pink Lycra Jumpsuit was coming out for another showing.
