Nice to see you over here doc.
There are a few ulu bashers on here, also bondu booted boof'eads, popeyes, and of course, lotsa crabs to rubbish. I wont mention the bootnecks, as they can get a bit stroppy if their medicine, (and mini-skirted nurse), aren't administered on time.

We have been in need of a Doc for some time now especially to take charge of the STD clinc, the girls have been doing a stalwart job....but you know what lads are like!....
Then there is young Steve Evens.. suffering for ages with the dreaded Grapes of Wrath, we have tried to help him with various preperations, new and old, we thought we had found the solution at one time, but the poker was'nt hot enough.
You will have an excellent staff, NorthSea Tigress is a Paramedic on North Sea Rigs and is well capable at dealing with Rousterbouts, Tool Pushers (whatever that is) and Sparkies, Then there is an excellent theatre nurse, Loz who has finished her apprenticehip in all Ectomies and Amputations, no matter how large or small, I'm also told that she is very good a stuffing things...in fact I think she has a course in that category coming up soon, if not doing it as I write...... We then have Mags and Barbie both of whom are very capable and keen to learn. There are a number of newbies to the site, who I can't vouch for but may be already know to you.
One word of warning..... El Prez........ He has the monopoly on all Gynecology problems, Male or Female, He's done the course and is a dab hand at papering rooms through letterboxes.......A bit of advice, leave him alone......he is bad news........He has an awsome assistant who goes by the name of 'Nursey'................................Aye

Ulu is a jungled area, usually in Malaya/Malaysia, but used in various east Asian countries. So an Ulu basher was a jungle basher. Bondu boots were worn in the Middle East, e.g. Persian Gulf, Aden, and North Africa. Also known as Chucka boots and Desert boots. I think Clarks Shoes made them, but they were not service issue then, so we had to buy them, cost a fortune at 30 bob!:(
Popeyes was one of the (many,many,) names given to members of the senior service, ............ bless them

Rigs, Mike's failure to understand was based on various incorrect spellings or cross service variations. To Bootnecks the Ulu is a warm home, a Basha, is a bed in a warm home, (definitely not basher). Chukka Boots were called thus because they could be chucked in the dhoby like everything else Royal owns. This concept may be obtuse or even unheard of in the Army, we knew it as personal hygiene, you may have come across it infrequently. Chukka boots were specifically issued for seatime, and made life onboard more bearable, especially in the evenings, when one would promenade the flight deck in Chukka boots, flannel trews billowing in the breeze, and a new silk shirt from the chogie tailor gently massaging your skin; before getting pushed out of the way by the deck hockey melee.
As for Popeyes, please do not cast aspersions at the members of her Majesty's Senior Service. After 6 years at sea your forearms would be like that, and you would have developed terminal shortsightedness. Wait till you meet JR and Owdun, same problem, it's why Owdun gave up snooker.
