French offer

Post by K24io »

The french have said they will reconsider their anti-war stance IF Iraqi forces use chemical and Biological Weapons.

If Iraqi forces use NBC weapons and then suddenly France are willing to help should we accept their kind offer?

Hopefully it won't happen but if it did I would tell them to get to france. :fist:

This has got to be Catch 22 all over again!.

The Iraqis can't use weapons of mass destruction, because they have told us over and over again that they haven't got any. :-?

If they do use them, the US and the coalition will be proved right, and France will have 'the egg on the face', as well as 'the respirator'!

However, as an American put it so nicely the other day, 'There's one thing about the French, they are always there when they need us'!.

Its a stunt imho to heal us-french relations.

Their offer implies the french can offer skills not currently available.

Which, although not a military expert i find hard to believe.

Vaild point but then the french people did vote them in, as the UK population voted in Blair.

I would take a wild guess and state that overall French public opinion is probably very similiar, Chirac wouldnt do anything that might damage his opinion rating.

It will be interesting to see what is about to be found in Iraq, I do hear that the French Germans & Russians had good reasons for the UN units to remain in the country, by that I mean assistance with Weapons, Chemicals and Oil and in that order.........we shall see

The reason Chirac got in if you didnt know was because the only alternative was Le Pen who is an out and out racist no competition

Only after the French public gave Le Pen enough votes to be involved in run off. There were other candidates at initial stages.

See what happens when you don't vote? :o

La Penn may have thrown in with us though. The guy diddnt have any particular fondness for the Muslim tide in France. I saw an e-mail on Neal Kavuto (Fox) the other day. Some one had e-mailed him a letter and said that " Chirac looks like a piano player in a French brothel". I thought it was pretty funny. I used to have a buddy who would tell military jokes all the time. Great stuff.

Q. What is the motto of the Greek army?

Heard the French described as "cheese eating surrender monkeys" on the radio yesterday. Made me laugh for about ten minutes solid

Yep I just heard this too on BBC News 24, they said several war graves had been defaced by Anti-war protestors :fist: Makes you sick doesnt it.
It will be front page on the papers tomorow.

Words cannot express the anger I now have to some of these so called peace protestors! couple of rounds in the ring would suit me just fine, bit of bare knuckle fighting :fist:
