PRMC Test Q's?

Post by = Jay = »

Hi,
Have started my Training, and have been wondering some things, just wanting to know the answers to these 3 Questions.

1. Is the 3 Mile Run in Combat Boots or Trainers

2. Are the Pull-ups Overhand or Under-hand Grasp

3. Do the Push-ups have to be Narrow Handed or Wide Stanced.

Thannx for your time and Help!

As far as I know, and I haven't been on my PRMC yet so this is from literature alone, the 3 mile run is in combat boots, pull ups are overgrasp, and push ups with hands shoulder width apart.

as i havent been to a PRMC yet, i can only give you what i have heard:

3 mile run: do it in trainers and a rugby shirt and trousers.

pullups: overgrasp grip

as for pushups i dont know. but in the fitness booklet it shows that lad doing pressups with his arms wide and at level with his head - thats how i do them.

1. 3 mile run is done in runners.
2. Pullups are overhand (palms facing away)
3. The proper way that the PTIs want you to do them is exactly shoulder width, that's the way I did them, but as long as you can go down and touch the fist every time you'll probably get away width a wider stance.

I am currently in week 19 of training and can say for sure:

The 3 miler is done in trainers (done in 22 mins)
The pull ups are over hand grasp (minimum of 6)
The press-ups are shoulder width with the elbows tucked in by your side (practice these as they are harder than normal, you need to do between 40-60 in 2 mins)
Also do alot of sprint work to get your cardio fitness up for the beep test (anything upwards of level 10 is a pass).

Hope this helps
