S.F. Training

Post by harry hackedoff »

Am I comfortable with my special forces training? Might be, but I`ve signed a confidentiality clause.
Wait till the book comes out in N.Z.

Hangonamo,(scouse indian)

After watching Mike Asher ripping the bollocks out of the books by McNab and Ryan, I`m even less happy with my "Special" forces training.
If you can reduce rate to below 7.5%, we may be able to cut one, Nosales*********ll.

This message will self destruct in 20 seconds.

Sorry, I`m getting confused between fantasy and reality. Just like our two heros.

Guys
must wholeheartedly appologise for the bad language in my previous post.
When I used the word "heros", of course I meant " lying bastards"

It's sad...

Post by crap_hat »

It really is sad that people believed him. I wasn't there, I don't know; but Michael Asher: What a prick. He thought he could get famous and earn a few bob. He forgot to mention he was in 21 SAS not 22. And he went round believing the Iraqis said. Do you hoinestly believe the only opposition they had was a native with a .22 rifle?
OK, so maybe they didn't kill 300 troops or whatever it was. But i bet you my life savings, the " lying bastards' " is far closer than the one Asher got out of the very people held responsible for letting one escape and letting so many of their men die.

Go to www.netowrk54.com/forum/83655, we've had the arguement there, and one of the lads knew him (and McNab). I say McNab; but that aint his real name...Just go there.

I have lost count of the number that I have come across who knew one or the other. By my reckoning that would make the membership of the Hereford Gun club greater than the population of Indo-china

Hawkeye.

Seem to remember reading that the SBS did a further ten weeks training after the joint SF selection.

Reading your response to Jonboy I can understand where the 'Boat' part of SBS could be seen to come from.

Ten weeks of boat training would be very specialised!

What is involved in the boating training?
As I understand that the SAS also has a boat section, what is the difference?
I have been told that the SBS use something called a RIB and the SAS have a Gemini 3 or Developed Craft 55 (DC55). Which is better?
